To provide technical metallurgical information & operating parameters to personnel in the Processing plant. Lead and manage the Metallurgical Laboratory functions with base metal processing operations; constantly improve performance of the Potential Metallurgical Projects by focusing in test work and evaluation of parameters; evaluation of operational and technical performance of Unit Processing Operations of each Potential Metallurgical Project; perform and complete all metallurgical accounting requirements for the processing plant; provide effective technical support to assist in project decision making.

Managed a controlled exploration budget of over $2.0million, with a range of clients including SGS Analytical (RSA), Alfred H Knight and Energold Mining Limited (Canada), with a total account value in excess of $1.0million pm; responsible for handling all Project Administration, Logistics, Resourcing and Deliverables, as well as the procurement of all items and materials; created and maintained assets, new consultant set-ups for equipment and accounts, and managed all training needs and compliances.

Ensured all plant processes were operationally effectively in order to produce the quality and quantity of metals planned, as well as coordinating, labour, equipment and services in a cost-effective manner; Instrumental in maintaining the highest standard of plant safety in Mufulira Conventional Copper Concentrator of 0.3million MT/M capacities with over 400 staff; Effectively handled issues relating to the company’s Mines Safety Department and the Environmental Council of Zambia, as well as overseeing all operations for Copper Slag Treatment that involved crushing, grinding and flotation processes; Planned, monitored and coordinated all aspects of the Concentrator department’s Operations, Maintenance and Technical functions to ensure that all planned Mine Ore was treated at the maximum recovery rates and safety levels with minimum costs.
