Key Roles and Responsibilities • Provide technical support for major and/or urgent problems with the local area network (LAN) or any of its components • Provide on-call assistance to individuals as needed. • Perform Window Server maintenance and administration, including installing Windows 2008 and Windows 2012 patches and upgrades (Service Packs). • Monitor that the Antivirus software and virus definition updates are being deployed to the server and client PCs. Ensure that any PC deployed to the field has the company standard antivirus protection and is configured to receive virus definition. • Perform File Server backups (weekly full backup, daily incremental on file server, and monthly backups of file server and users data), • Manage the company firewall to monitor office internet traffic and cyber threats. • Perform desktop and laptop computer support, including performing routine preventive maintenance (disk scan, deleting temp files, defragmentation, etc.); installing software patches and upgrades, troubleshooting hardware or software problems; and ensuring users are backing up their data files on the server. • Working with the company internet service provider to solve any problems accessing the internet and/or sending and receiving email in all Company sites. • Manage the GEOTAB vehicle tracking system for all vehicles. • Manage the CCTV systems • Manage the zamseed website. • Implement disaster recovery and back up procedures.
